hackerhub is a free, read-only index of links that were posted publicly on Hacker News. By using the site you accept these terms.
The service
The index is informational. Rankings are computed automatically from public data and reflect the archive up to 2026-08; they are not editorial endorsements and are not a recommendation to buy, read, watch or rely on anything listed.
The site is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, including accuracy, completeness or fitness for a purpose. Availability is not guaranteed: the service may change, be interrupted or be discontinued at any time.
Acceptable use
- Do not use the site in a way that degrades it for others, including high-rate automated scraping.
- Automated access is welcome at a reasonable rate; the aggregated data is published for reuse under the licence below.
- Do not misrepresent the site as affiliated with Hacker News, Y Combinator or any linked service.
- Do not use the site to distribute malware, or to republish material in breach of the rights described below.
Intellectual property
The archive. Source data comes from the public Hacker News dataset published as open-index/hacker-news under the Open Data Commons Attribution License (ODC-By). Reuse of the aggregated JSON requires attribution to that dataset and to this index.
Comments and submissions. Hacker News posts belong to the people who wrote them. hackerhub shows titles, scores and counts, and links back to the original thread rather than reproducing discussion text.
Linked works. Titles, cover images, thumbnails and repository cards belong to their respective owners and are used for identification only, under the providers' own terms. Nothing here grants a licence to the underlying works.
The site. Design, code and the aggregation itself belong to hackerhub.app.
Removal requests
If you own a work and want an entry or an image removed, or you believe a link infringes your rights, write to hello@hackerhub.app with the URL and an explanation. We remove or replace disputed entries promptly; because the index only stores URLs, metadata and counts, removal is usually immediate.
No affiliation
hackerhub is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Y Combinator, Hacker News, or any site it links to.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from use of the site, reliance on its rankings, or content reached through its outbound links.
Changes
These terms may be updated; the date above shows the current version. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
